I will admit, spraying it into the air this way is a temporary fix. In our green household, we have discovered products that are effective and work with nature to give us better results than their toxic, chemically laden counterparts. Do not rub the area because it will only spread the urine within the carpet. If you are house training a puppy, odors from accidents need to be neutralized immediately, or you run the risk of your pet being attracted to that area again and again. For homemade solution, you can use vinegar, baking soda, dish washing soap and hydrogen peroxide. In order to remove odors, you must spray the source of the odors. Pet Odor Problems
It’s a great product. It should be used on dry surfaces, and does not require rinsing. The first and the most important step is to determine the exact spot where your dog has peed.
